Both the Chat Room and the e-Forum
Foyer are open 24 hours/7days .
The Chat Room is mainly used by this e-Club Members and invited
guests.
The Forum Foyer is also open to visitors using the same Login
Name and Password allocated to them for the Chat Room by the Web
Administrator.
KIWANIS BAYSIDE e-CLUB MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Potential members are encouraged to participate
in a
number of meetings on a "no obligation" basis prior to submitting a
membership application.
Once recruited, all new members must produce a National Police
Check certificate, and all are to hold a "Working With Children" ID
Card (as pertaining each Australian State and Territory), if they
wish to be involved in projects at which children may be present.
Kiwanis Bayside Internet Club Board Members, a
local JP, Lawyer, Police Officer or other person of authority may be
the "prescribed person" chosen to sight the original certificates. Such
sighting verification will then be passed on to the Club
Secretary.
All members are governed by Kiwanis Australia
"Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct" which ensures that the
highest standards of integrity is maintained at all times.
Full Membership Fees amount to about $3 per week,
less for spouses, Life Members, ex-Kiwanis sponsored youth program
members, and all new members under 25. These fees are the lowest for any Community
Service Club in Australia as there are no Meals, Drinks or Travel
expenses.
New Members first year Membership Fee is
calculated at pro-rata and no joining fee is charged.
COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES &
FUNDRAISING EVENTS
No matter how far Kiwanis Bayside Internet Club
Membership is spread there are various Community Service "hands-on"
activities and fundraising events they can, and do, get involved in all year
round.
New Members are encouraged to introduce their
favourite charity/project
There are no strict obligations regarding number
of hours or projects a member gets involved in. This also applies for those
members living in remote areas and/or rural areas of Australia.
