e-Meetings & e-Forums
Regular participation in Club Chat Room "meetings" is
encouraged.
Club Business is
completed via the Internet, through the 'Members' webpage,
Members' email list, the Club Chat Room and Forum Foyer,
phone, fax machines, and face-to-face contact.
Web Cam Cameras
are being installed by individual members to enhance club meetings
and on-line communication.
One hour long e-Club "meetings" are held on the first
and third MONDAY each month, at
7pm Australia Eastern Standard Time, 6.30pm the Central Standard Time, and 5pm
for the Western Standard Time.
Only registered Members and
Guests may access the Chat Room which is fully secure and
encrypted. Login Names and Passwords are
registered with, and approved by only the e-Club Web Administrator.
Guests do not choose their own Login Names and Passwords.
Both the Chat Room and e-Forum Foyer are open 24
hours/7 days a week, giving members and guests a chance to chat, and
to read all "Meeting" Agendas and Minutes, Club Board
Directors' reports, and information related to the various
portfolios in separate categories.
During the e-Club "meetings", Members may post comments and approve all motions.
Motions are emailed out to Members prior to the "meeting".
It is important to have a printed copy of the Agenda to refer to
during the Chat Room e-Club "meeting" in order to follow it in an orderly
fashion.
Guests only observe at Board/Club "meetings", unless they are
allocated time for comments. Guests may access the e-Forum Foyer and
view the different categories depicted, but they are not to post any
comments, unless they have been invited by the Board to do so.
Club Board Reports, prior to being posted by Board Members in the
Forum Foyer, are mailed out to the Board for consideration and
discussion, at the discretion of each Board Member. The same applies
to any Motions which require prior approval by the Board. Items of a private nature are not dealt with during
the Chat Room "meetings" but dealt separately via Club Board Members'
mailings and/or telephonic discussions.
Kiwanis Bayside e-Club Board "meetings" are held at same time on
the first Monday each month with all Members participating.
Occasionally, a "Special Guest" (in-lieu-of Guest
speaker), is invited to give a motivational presentation via the
"VIP Guest" or the "Kiwanis Education" category in the Forum
Foyer.
Please Note: The Web Administrator has the right to terminate
and/or reject any participants who do not act in a responsible way
while in the Chat Room and Forum Foyer.
'Interclub'
& 'Make-Up' Meetings
- Interclub Chat Room "meetings" will be organised with the
North America Kiwanis Internet Clubs. First on list is the e-Kiwanis Club of Greater Chicago.
A time compatible for both is to be arranged.
- Occasional Guests from traditional Clubs and/or Kiwanians
who are travelling around Australia may join us in our "meetings",
thus "making up" for their absence from their Home Club.
